boards<\/a>, but our rubber bumpers can do so much more!\u00a0 These versatile bumper products explore many fields and uses.\u00a0 One application we would like to spotlight today is self adhesive bumpers used as <strong>rubber spacers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PCB Spacers\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Rubber spacers are used on computers, routers, and stackable network devices.\u00a0 A fragile printed circuit board (or PCB) sits inside these devices.\u00a0 Sometimes multiple PCB stack adjacently in a single device.\u00a0 If they touch they can scratch, break, and cause computer damage.\u00a0 What is a very simple solution to prevent them from touching?\u00a0 Stick our <strong>rubber spacers<\/strong> on a PCB!<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_2794\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2794\" style=\"width: 750px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2794\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">PCB Board Rubber Spacers<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Vinyl, nylon, or polyurethane spacers work best for this job.\u00a0 Our <strong>bumper spacers<\/strong> function well because they are insulators, therefore they do not conduct electricity.\u00a0 Ideally, spacers need to have a flat top to support the PCB.\u00a0 In this application, our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bumperspecialties.com\/it\/categoria-prodotto\/cilindrico\/\">cylindrical self adhesive bumpers<\/a> work best.<\/p>\n<p>An alternative to bumper spacers is plastic screws; however, they take a lot more effort to apply.\u00a0 All of our bumper spacers are backed with an aggressive <strong>adhesive<\/strong>, so they stick on immediately. \u00a0Plastic screws take up more space than rubber bumpers because they need to drill a hole into the PCB.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Glass Spacers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You can also find our rubber spacers used to stabilize glass.\u00a0 For example, glass shelving and tables use our rubber spacers to keep the glass in place and help protect both the glass and the surface underneath.<\/p>\n<p>Substitutes for rubber spacers in this application can be cork, felt, tape, or foam.\u00a0 Despite these other options, Bumper Specialties rubber spacers work most efficiently.\u00a0 They grip the glass, can hold the weight of the glass without wearing out or flattening, and are transparent.<\/p>\n<p>Rubber spacers are also used on windows because they effectively dampen vibrating and rattling from the window.\u00a0 <strong>Rubber
